The Role of Language in Classroom Conversations about Literature

Students need to acquire a conceptual understanding of literature and the language used to communicate about it. The purpose of this project is two-fold: to build a theory and suggest teaching strategies that could be used in classroom conversations about literature. The study uses data from the KoALa project to investigate the role of language in classroom conversations about literature.
